Pastor Terrence & Mrs. Cordell Chapman
OUR PASTOR
Terrence Chapman is a pastor in the Church of the Nazarene whose passion is to serve in ministry to people of all ages. He lives in Baldwin, New York with his wife, Cordell, of 28 years and their 4 children.
He is motivated by seeing how God works through the lives of people, transforming them into His purpose. Pastor Terrence has also been a high school Mathematics/ Computer Science Teacher and an Instructional Coach for 31 years.
His main goal in life is to place all his trust in God, knowing that He will be his guide. Pastor Terrence gives His Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, all of the credit for taking him out of the darkness and bringing him into His wonderful light.
In his spare time, he enjoys going for walks and watching sports. He welcomes all who wish to engage with the Solid Rock church family.

Music
Worship at Solid Rock is a participatory experience. We welcome you to join us in an interactive praise and worship experience.
Prayer
Prayer during Sunday services allows us to acknowledge our dependence on Christ for building his kingdom and in our personal lives. We pray for the needs of the church and its members.
Message
The message intends to communicate God’s Truth in compelling, relevant ways. Join us as we read the Word of God together, reflect on its meaning and learn how to apply it to our lives.
Offering
We give generously as an act of worship, not under coercion of any kind but out of a joyful heart.
Fellowship
Following the service, we spend time in community, learning more about one another over light refreshments.

Our Core Beliefs
WE BELIEVE in one God —the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
WE BELIEVE that the Old and New Testament Scriptures, given by plenary inspiration, contain all truth necessary to faith and Christian living
WE BELIEVE that human beings are born with a fallen nature, and are, therefore, inclined to evil and that continually.
WE BELIEVE that the finally impenitent are hopelessly and eternally lost.
WE BELIEVE that the atonement through Jesus Christ is for the whole human race and that whosoever repents and believes on the Lord Jesus Christ is justified and regenerated and saved from the dominion of sin.
WE BELIEVE that believers are to be sanctified wholly, subsequent to regeneration, through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.
WE BELIEVE that the Holy Spirit bears witness to the new birth, and also to the entire sanctification of believers.
WE BELIEVE that our Lord will return, the dead will be raised, and the final judgment will take place.
