PRAYER MINISTRY

Connecting people to Christ through prayer

“Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you”   (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18)

MISSION STATEMENT

We believe that there is power in prayer, power in the name of JESUS, and power in the word of God. Our purpose is to intercede on behalf of others as the Spirit of God leads us.  Praying for the local body of Christ, our Pastor, homes, communities, and salvation for the lost.  Prayer is a way of inviting God to join you in life’s struggles.  Prayer creates a safe space to process your thoughts and feelings.  God wants us to lean on Him in every situation, and He wants to change the world through us.

We are encouraged to intercede or pray for one another.  It is the Lord's intention that the members of the Body of Christ plea for His mercy, His healing, and the outpouring of His Holy Spirit on behalf of others and trusting completely in His mercy.  Jesus closed the gap between us and God when He died on the cross. Because of Jesus’ mediation, we intercede in prayer on behalf of others, asking God to grant their requests according to His will.

“For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus” ...1 Timothy 2:5
Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.   ...Philippians 4:6
“Again, truly I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything they ask for, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven. For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.”   ...Matthew 18:19-20
…“Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you”   ...Thessalonians 5:16-18
